H&R springs

Just bought some and thought I might have ago at doing them myself to save a few quid  :wink: wondered if any body knew of a "how to guide"& give me any pointers as what/and not to do.

Halfrauds sell the spline spreader tool for about £8. Essential bit of kit imo

Spline spreader tool? What's that buddy?

It's in the guide.

It's used to make the opening bigger on the hub to make it easier to remove the strut.

Tbh mate I didn't end up doing it myself in the end. I got Alex at AKS to fit them along with RARB and Superpro ALK plus full geo setup. He used the spreader tool and also removed disconnected the passenger driveshaft to make more room to get the shock out. I believe it can be done without doing this though.

Take it to a reputable VW Audi etc garage/tuner and let them do it. Get the geometry sorted too, then give it a week or so while it settles then go back and get it checked again.

Well worth it rather than a DIY job IMO.

Unless you have all that gear at home that is  :happy2:
