Interior monitoring sensors and red LED in door
« on: February 09, 2013, 11:59:07 am »
I noticed a while ago that the red LED had stopped blinking on the driver's door of my vRS. I also get an occasional error flagged in VAGCOM that says there is problem with the interior monitoring sensors.
First of all are the two linked? I haven't yet taken the door card off to see if there is a break in the connection. I am surprised to have not seen an open circuit logged in a VCDS scan.
Secondly are the interior monitoring sensors on the mk5 in a similar location separate to the interior light like the Skoda? I was planning on robbin the sensors out of the wife's mk5 to test and see if it fixes the problem.

Anybody any experience of this guys?
I am currently trying a new interior monitoring sensor but the red light isn't flashing. I'm thinking the next step is to get the door card off or should I be trying something else?
