Are these just a straight swap fit?
« on: February 11, 2013, 07:07:10 pm »
Iv got a tdi sport with normal pedals and want a set of nice shiny gti pedals.

Is this item from eBay just a straight swap over or are there other complications like throttle module conpatability?

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=251227760962&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=31476760468

Anyone else done it and confirm?

Thanks

I have recently done it. I fitted some R32 pedals to mine. Brake and clutch pedal are a doddle. Just some shaped rubber bits that pull through holes in the pedal to hold them in. The accelerator is abit of a pig but not too bad once you've done one. If you do get them I can put abit of a write up together to help you out. Definitely easier with pictures.

Straight fit, I did them on mine, took about 15 minutes to do.
How hard can it be?

Not much difference no. Just the design of the grips. Mine are like this:
