theres a couple of options;

Autotech and KMD do a kit which uprates the internals of your std pump, think these are just over 300quid fitted, your pump needs stripping and the parts fitting

APR do a complete replacement uprated pump for just over 700quid, or they do an exchange 1 where you give them your pump and you get an uprated 1 for 580quid I think

I'm looking into this myself at the minute for the S3, had the APR one on my ED30 and it made a big difference to the midrange :happy2:

Whatever you do, ignore any internet fighting/propeganda/bitching you may find when researching the products and make your own mind up.

Personally I'd go for a kit and a new follower.
Sideways yo!

If you go for the kit and follower, you must ensure that when you fit them you use gloves and a clean environment as the tolerences are VERY tight on the pump parts. :happy2:

Both types of pump (APR and KMD/Autotech) can supply more than enough fuel for Stage 2+, so performance benefits of one over the other are negligible.

Golf R gone.

Has anyone had a pump and FP map fitted to a Golf without the exhaust changed?

It seems the stock system is relatively good on flow. I would like to see some results on the fuel pump map together with the stock exhaust. The simple re map on APR stage 1 gives a healthy return but they now do a free upgrade for their APR stage 1 FP map.
The exhaust system seems a hefty investment but it's not totally off the cards.

Anyone especially with Ed 30 got this combo?

Agreed - you pays your money and take you choice. Some interesting articles out there on the differences between the internals.

and just so u know k03 cars have the probs with the cam followers not ko4 as the cams are not the same so the ed30 should not suffer from the problem

I suspect if you try using the pump file on a car without a DP you'll soon burn out the stock cat.
Without traction power is nothing!

I would doubt that very much...they're not that much richer than a stage 1 map. If they ran that much fuel they'd be horrendous on fuel consumption. Callibration should be as good as the stage 1 if not better. :happy2:

I'm not sure lol £717 doesnt seem like much of a sale  :sad1: but if it helps my car go quick i'm in ha ha.

I think thats practically all the parts now as soon as this arrives i'll get myself booked in to revo for a stage 2 +
