Golf MK5 Door Stick
« on: February 18, 2013, 06:14:54 pm »
I've just got a new mk5, and I love it! But I'm having an issue with the front passenger door. It doesn't open correctly, it like sticks, it's as thought it catches on something, like the rubber has stuck to the metal, but there isn't anything there.

I tried to record the problem but I don't think the video shows it very well but I'll link it anyway..

Anybody have any ideas? It happens from the inside and outside.

I thought door lock originally, but the door unlocks and locks fine, with the key and the button on the door :/

If you scan the car it will most likely show you the fault - I still go for the latch though.

I tried a bit of wd40, but that didn't help! But if your all confident it's the lock I'll just replace it!

Cheers for the help
