North Yorkshire Steam Railways

Its my little lads 5th birthday in June and he loves steam train,so we are thinking of taking him on one when his birthday comes,As anybody been to this and what where your thoughts

Yes , about 20 times since the 80s! Its one of the best heritage lines in the country so you wont go wrong there. I didnt go for steam though , I used to go to the Diesel galas , especially when they had the Deltics there.

I've been on it a few times too. One of the best steam railways I know.  :happy2:

There was an excellent TV docu on BBC2 last night about Sir Nigel Gresley's "Flying Scotsman" and another railway docu on tonight  :party:
