Just. Ought some new tyres what's the difference

Hi all car needed some new front tyres, purchased some Goodyear assy 2s.

Now is there a difference between 225/40r18 amd 225/40zr18??

Any help much appreciated cheers jack

Same thing, the Z is just a generic speed rating meaning max speed capability is over 150mph. But the tyre should also have a more accurate speed rating eg W or Y. (Therefore you can just ignore the Z).

thanks for the help yeah they've also got 92 Y and are xl which is the same as the tyres on at the moment
