Someone posted recently that the ED30 OEM mats are still available from the stealers. Goes off to find thread....... :nerd:

Here you go.....

~~ Clicky here ~~

Part Numbers for OEM Eddy mats. Not cheap though.

Front: 1K2864435CWNS and 1K2864436CWNS RRP £40.50 plus VAT each.

Rear: 1K0864452BWNS and 1K0864451BWNS RRP £31.76 plus VAT each.

With them having separate part numbers does this mean you can buy the mats individually?  I have worn a hole in my drivers side mat but the other 3 are like new, VW have previously advised I had to buy a whole new set?

I bought my genuine GTI mats off eBay cause the early ones were just plain whereas new ones had the GTI bit, my car had oval studs and the mats had circle studs do I modified the mats with new clips  :happy2:

Look great mat. Hard to tell from pic are they grey or black? Able to take a day light pic please, cheers

I have OE carpet and rubber mats. Keep an eye on the carpet mats as I found that when they become excessively wet they let dampness through. Mine are barely used and they do this. Summer mats really I think which is why I bought the rubber ones also.

Gone but not forgotten :-)

I'd sat the quailty is as good as any other VW car mat

The GTI logo looks stitched in so that may wear badly, but not 100%

I bought them second hand and the wear on the drivers mat was barely noticeable so I'm very pleased!!

Remember though if you have twist/oval studs you need to change the clips as these where the newer circular stud fitment.

Sorry at OP for thread jumping with all of this   :ashamed:

As above man, depends on studs but you can change clips on mat! Have a look at your cars fixings and see if they are oval or round!

So yeah, it will fit but MAY need modifying!  :happy2:

My gti had those mats from the factory, they are starting to look a bit tatty now no holes or anything but they are rather grey. cant complain to say they are nearly 7 years old covering nearly 60k.
