They also kill your battery.

Not on my S2. I guess it depends on which ones you use.

I had to turn absolutely everything off, including most the samsung apps just to try and get a full day out of my S3.

Really...not looking good for the S4 then unless they have increased the battery size. Hope the Xperia Z isn't that bad as currently top of my upgrade list.

Power is supplied by a muscular (and replaceable) 2,600mAh battery, bumped up from the S3's 2,100mAh battery.

I dont understand why they still have an actual button on the phone.  I have the galaxy nexus that came out in Nov 2011, it is button free so they have the technology.  That is the only thing that would put me off the phone.

IMO opinion Sony (the company) has been on the slide for a few years.  Plus the new Xperia Z isnt Mac compatible, which is crazy.

I don't know, I switched to Apple from Android recently and very impressed. I had Android for past few years, but since most of powerful android devices became mini tablets, decided to try Iphone.
So far very smooth, never had to restart device, battery lasts 48 hrs where same usage on Android would see me max 12hrs. Feels like phone in hand and pocket.
Just miss Android customization too

The customisation is a novelty, nothing more IMO. I turned everything off on the S3. Miss the screen, but nothing else.

Love my iPhone 5, but still hanker for a larger display. The iPhone just works so well with my existing Mac, iTunes, match, iCloud etc. I don't like any of the Android solutions.

I too can get 48 hours out of my iPhone 5 easily.
