I work for the company who acquired them about 2 years ago and work very closely with Peltor HQ in Sweden.
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

Dont forget all the headsets for rally teams, F1 teams, Le Mans, BTCC, WTCC... Peltor are the bees-knees when it comes to motorsport comms. Even Martin Brundle's headset, worn on his grid-walks, is Peltor.

I'll see what I can do, but can't make any promises I'm afraid. We're close to launch date for a lot of rebranded gear since the acquistion so things are a bit hectic at the moment.

Do Peltor offer helmets without comms? - I don't see the need in road-legal trackday cars.

Hmm..

I think I may have found the one which best suits me, all things considered.

You already knew I was a Bell Head:   http://www.bellracing.info/sportmag6.php

It's got the right safety standard approvals, flip-up sun peak, open face but with cheeks, has the style I like, and is within my budget. Bell is a very well long-established good brand unless things have changed in recent years.

Yes, the come sans comms.

That Bell helmet is a cracker, definitely up to the job. I guess with anything though it helps to try a few on and see what's comfy?  See if you can go somewhere that sells loads of different ones and try them.
Sideways yo!

That Bell Mag-6 is available from Demon-Tweeks who have a policy of free swoppsy if the fit isn't right. But, I will take your advice and try and find a shop with lots to try on. :drinking:

Do they? Cool.

Do that then as I'm sure it'll feel ok, if not, then find a shop and see what feels right?

I went into Tweeks actually to try loads on when I got mine, some at the cheaper end of the scale felt very heavy and odd fitting. The expensive stuff was all much better.

Sideways yo!

Helmets seem to be like bicycles: You tend to get what you pay for because the price is the sum total of the components and their quality/standards.

However, unless you are a pro like JonnyC, I couldn't justify £2k on a lid.

Around £300 appears to be the best level of high enough safety standard and build quality. I've learnt the hard way that spending only £90 can be short-sighted. It's the same with trainers and shoes - My Nike's and Timberlands cost a lot but last and last and last.

Oh dear! Perusing the Bell online Gallery, I spotted "Paint Jobs" and got inspired.

Metallic anthracite shell with red Kokopelli's, RR, and discrete RedRobin - Kinda has to be done methinks :stupid:

A lad who lives next to my parents does custom helmets, bike fairings and other stuff for a lot of the Superbike riders - he's really talented.

I must say I've considered the same, Robin!! Go on, it'll look ace.
