Hmm different forces vary. Where I used to work they went in every 5,000 mile OR when it broke! In my current job (ambo service), it's 10,000 miles.

NEVER buy old cop cars!! Woefully under powered for the job they do and therefore get ragged like anything. I could be guilty of this in my current job!

Shouldn't say this but my brother works in traffic. The service thing is bull. They only get serviced when something brakes. Steer clear mate.

This comment is totally not true and Police Cars are always serviced on time with always genuine parts . Police Cars also will not have ever been MOT'd . The way the cars are driven is totally down to the job it is doing . An R32 on a motoway for most of its life is unlikely .

Not True either . Police Panda/General patrol cars are "ragged" . Other Cars in specialist roles are chosen to fit the role and therefore are fit for the job .

Didn't say you are lying , you state that police cars only get attention when they are broke and this is not true

I'd say if its been serviced every 10k and its had haldex done every 40k it would be fine the chain guides may be worn at that mileage like the old vr6 engines. Bodywork may have had a lot of paint work but you could always take a paint depth gauge with you. To buy it you would have to get it major cheap to be able to justify buying it with that mileage considering if chains need done its engine out job

Looks like the seats are in great condition , it may have had different seats put in it for the role it was doing . The Bolsters would get shot to bits in no time . Our ST's went through seats nearly as quick as the tyres !

The Police around here have A6 3.0TDI and 530D's, no doubt mapped, for bombing up and down the dual carrigeways.  Tried to follow one once at distance when it was quiet, but wasn't gaining at 140mph

Is it vw or a an Indy that has been servicing this car ? Or is it the case that it's the same mechanics that services the fords and vauxhalls !!!!!

32's are cheap enough now anyway. Not much point spending a fraction less for a car which could have had a rough life. That should be closer to £6k IMO.

It may have been spec'd for motorway use but they are not going to call off the chase if the crim goes into a residential area!

Just think of all the speed bumps it has taken at speed!!!
