Came across a part and just wondered

Ok so while searching for new boot struts to no avail, I came across this part.. part no: 1K0 959 832 A and was curious as to origin of said part and whether I could fit it to the Jetta?!

Think the afore-mentioned part is of U.S. spec origins.... Strangely today I was searching for some door cards and came across some U.S ones on eBay and noticed the strange double switch where our single fuel hatch switch is located.

Didn't really think anything of it at the time but now it all kinda adds up!

Wouldn't really work on a rhd tho I guess....

Now I've been offered the complete unit, so surely it could be made to fit!  And yeah its the US boot pop button.
