Marc's Mk5 GTI Reflex Silver
« on: May 06, 2013, 12:53:16 pm »
So, I'll get this rolling, I've been in the VW scene since I started driving, had two 1.2 Polos before buying the Golf and I loved them, but I thought I needed a change, so I decided to get a Golf GTI, it was the logical step up.

So, I'm Marc, I'm 20 and from Cumbria.

I modded the polo quite a bit but I've promised the parents I won't modify this one, though I'll give it until next year when I've paid it off and I'll start easing the mods in..

Enough rambling, here's my previous polo!

And the golf... He has 43k miles on an 07 reg and is immaculate! It's a DSG with the paddle shift, which is an amazing new toy!  :driver:

Opinions welcome!!

A few pics after getting it clean!

UPDATES FINALLY!!! We have Sportlines fitted!

BBS VZ are on order too, they should be here in march  :happy2:

Progress has finally commenced!

New wheels arrived today, should be fitted in a week or two

BBS VZ 8Jx18 ET44 from GNJ Motorsport

Cheers! Marc

Couple more pics added.

Missus and I are going florida for 3 weeks next year so funds are tight and I'm gonna miss my favourite car show  :scared:

Plans for my christmas bonus however...

BBS VZ's off GNJ when I find some storage for them! (looking like the bedroom at the moment)

Winter tyres are going on my Monzas for a few months and then I can switch wheels to suit the season

When I get the new wheels fitted (March time) I'll be getting a set of Sportlines fitted at the same time.

It's been a slow few months of ownership, wanting to pay it off before I mod has made it hard.

I'll update again in December when I (hopefully) have the BBS'

They will look good once fitted. They really suit the car. Are you going to keep them silver?

taking it slightly off topic, where did you get the pressed plates? Ive read that they need certain coating to make them legal and can i hell as find somewhere that does legal ones.

Yeah, keeping them silver, I really like the silver on silver look, and now these are 18s they'll fill the arch a bit more (hopefully)

Don't be daft mate, ask away!

A guy on eBay called metalplates, I got the checked over by the police just to double check they were legal.

Needs to be reflective, have correct spacing, BS EN number & the postcode of where they were made  :happy2:
