Ferodo DS2500 where to buy and personal reviews?

hi guys, im after some ds2500 front pads for my ED30, can anyone guide me the best priced place to buy them from? also has anyone had them fitted and what is their opinion on them over standard pads?

thanks in advance and before people mention R32/S3 upgrades, im not looking to do that at all.

They are definitely better than OEM, that for sure.

If your not after a larger brake upgrade DS2500 pads, and some Motul RBF600 brake fluid will go along way to reducing the inherent fade and poor braking of the stock setup.  If you also interested in trackdays, but on a budget, you could also look at installing some hidden brake ducts.

I wasnt willing to go for the R32/S3 set up either. I got the DS2500's and Brembo disc's over a year ago and was over the moon with the improvement. I would recommend them to anyone who isnt willing to go for a different set up. More then good enough in my eyes. I paid £130 for my pads.

I've read a lot of threads discussing the legality of the DS2500's.

Are they legal with OEM brake setups?

Cheers guys just the response I was hoping for, I'm also having a fluid change at the same time so it should make a hell of a difference. Where did you all purchase them from? Any links?

As for the legality, I'm not sure, havent heard anything personally but then again how much stuff people put on their carsnowadays isnlegal anyway (not me though as my ed 30 is standard) lol

I believe their 'illegality' stems from the pads actually exceeding a benchmark ( fade test or heat dissipation?) other manufacturers pads only reach so technically they don't meet the required criteria, they exceed it. Seems ridiculous but Dave B who supplies upgraded Brake parts and has studied brake technology has written about this extensively. Search for NQBBK - there are literally 25 pages of discussions about pads and components.

Slight jump in here ...
2 questions
 1. What are they like from cold? My previous experience of harder pads was that they were great when moving and being used in normal traffic, but a bit unsettling when stone cold or after a run down the motorway and cooled off again. Momentary lack of bite.
2. Is the pedal pressure increased for normal braking? I would not see this as problem as I feel the OEM set up is a bit light.

Looking around there seems to be different type of pads? Do they come with the brake wear indicator wires too?

I'm also interested in these too, are they better than the EBC upgrade option, drilled and grooved discs with red stuff pads?

Or are Ferodo the best option before caliper upgrades?

From cold there usable and it will stop you if you had to suddenly stop.

Hot they are awesome. Well worth the price.

I use them on my everyday car.
