jesus, he was gunning it!!!!

how crazy is it though that a car at that speed these days would make that corner!

80's tyres made from coal and chronic understeer = soon as you get chucked out of that camber, you're in s***!
Sideways yo!

no definately not, but looking at the speed of the car and degree of corner, id say with the advances in suspension, chassis and tyre technology, youd get a modern hot hatch around that.

Subject to a clean dry track obviously!

Clean dry track? At the 'Ring?!  :signLOL:

I reckon the rental Kia Pro C'eed 1.4 I last took around the 'Ring might have just barely made that.

I gave it back to the Hertz guy in Frankfurt stinking of clutch and brake and wheezing slightly... He sez to me "car was alright?" (from a distance), I sez "better than expected", toss him the keys and head to my flight :P Good thing he didn't inspect it before I took off!

Mat has just posted in another area - So he is around. But he does 'disappear' occasionally - Perhaps he has more of a life than some of us do!

The only consolation is that he's at least been there lots of times and there'll be other times in the future.
