Mk7 Wheels on Mk5
« on: June 09, 2013, 02:08:57 pm »
Hi All,

My Monza's will be needing a refurb in the later in the summer so am thinking of getting new wheels. Really like the look of the new MK7 GTI wheels and was wondering if anyone has got them on their car yet? Need pics to make my mind up... Alternatively any of you picture magicians can work your magic using a black Gti it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Rick

I think they'll look good but cost a fortune. The current Monza's from vw including VAT come to £440 per wheel a couple of years back

I also think they would look the biz in 18s but don't fancy paying £400+ per wheel !

Why would you buy them from VW?
On Ebay they would be £400 for a complete set most likely..Although it might take a while for them to appear. I'm sure people will start modding them soon enough.

PCD is 5x112 with the same sort of offsets as the Mk5/Mk6.

That's what I mean for normal Monza's I wouldn't go to a dealer but for the newer mk7 ones I doubt they will appear on there for some time so was guessing they would be in the same ball park as what Monza's cost from them now

^^ excellent job, because of the setting it looks believable.

They look good.. a kinda progression from the Pirelli Edition.
