Looks good Rich and i as u said the DSG gearbox is one of the best things about the car it makes sitting in traffic or taking off at the lights soo much more easier and it sounds so much better than the manual gti... :happy2:

Enjoy it... :driver: :driver:

Rich
Looks great and welcome to Pirelli ownership. They are pretty well specced as std though a remap will not go amiss if the insurance allows.

....

Nice 1, Rich! Am very very happy for you and can feel your enthusiasm through cyberspace!

You really don't need to mod that Pirelli. Looks so much better in silver than the black Pirelli's.

:happy2:

 :surprised:   oi! hahaha  :happy2:

we all now DBP is FTW!

Looks good though Rich, i do like the silver ones alot myself! Looking forward to going to a meet and finally not being the only Pirelli owner there!

Was classed as heavily modded due to the wide arch kit being real expensive to replace if even a little knock occurred.

Pirelli being 'standard' is cheaper for some reason, weird how the world works

Correct, with the whole kit being fibreglass... i small knock would shatter the whole piece..

Even worse, with the back arches primed..rivited... primed and so on... its not a simple replacement... its a huge cost of repair even if it was a bump...

Next thing, the waiting time to get parts made in Germany is hurrendous... and i'd be without a car for a long while meaning a courtesy car..

All this made them class it as "not for business use" - a company car would not have these kind of mods on... then being driven by an 18 yr old with 1 yrs no claims bonus.. they clearly didnt like it.

I'm over the moon with the Pirelli... i think it looks FAB as it is... all i might do is... Oettinger Exhaust and maybe Eibach springs...

Will post some interior pictures later on...

And thanks for the comments, she really is amazing, and such a pleasure to drive !

DSG is a god send :innocent: :notworthy:

I don't agree! Get used to the thing before you map it as it's an animal once done and I'd hate to see you stick it in a ditch!

It will look great on the Eibach's too!  :happy2:

Awesome Rich, thats one rare car. She's a Beauty  :happy2:.

Echo what The Rim king said., keep her standard for the minute, get used to it, and see how you feel about it later, but at 18, it may well push up your premiums with you being so young.

You are a very lucky chap, at my 18th i was in a crap old Mk3 escort!!.

Enjoy it  :drinking:
