Isit possible to put phaeton brakes on the Golf mk5 gti. Would you need 19" wheels and spacers ? Could they fit on 18"?

I've read phaeton carriers won't fit, their more direct fit for b5 chassis

However I could be wrong?

Why would you with the R32, Porsche and R8 /Lambo alipers you can use.

R32 sized discs with 4/6 piston calipers would be the best for the road IMHO. And relatively low cost

Friend was breaking a phaeton years back (where I got 1 of my spare wheels from) tried the calipers/ carriers on a 55mm strut on my Touran - the carrier didn't fit, and the calipers wouldn't fit on the 312 carrier
