i have noticed you have installed eibach springs, are they the sportline or pro-kit, staing you do many miles, i feel your advice would be very beneficial as it do many miles
Having done circa 1500 miles on themsince fitting i can say you'll be fine with the sportlines, once the shockers bed into there new lower stance they perform well.
I've done about 31000 miles since new, 10 months (ish) ago lol
on another note i am very intrigued as to the modifications you have done to achieve you power of 220hp, i too would like to uprate my power and more so torque, any advice would be welcome!
The 140 and 170 are different units, the 170 has a bigger turbo and a DPF.
I've had a DPF removal pipe fitted with a map to suit.
NN has a 170DPF so you'd struggle to get close to those figures without spending some cash on other stuff. im pretty sure that the 170 has a front mount intercooler not sure about the 140 though.
would be nice to see a TDI taken to the next level performance wise get it done
As Cal says, you will need to be spending some cash to have over 200+ from what i belive out of the 140.
But it would be good to see it done.
A hybrid turbo, panel filter, egr delete, bigger intercooler and cat free exhaust would be the route i'd go if i had the 140
How did you get on with the "full" brake lights?
FAIL (but mainly due to me forgetting about looking into it haha)
would fitting an intercooler from an s3, without other modifications improve the performance, i am looking to install custom exhaust turbo back shortly, so would the intercooler and exhaust be sufficient or am i looking at turbo upgrades etc?
your advice would be appreciated
They do bolt straight in, but the pipe work might need alittl adjusting.
I'm currently on the hunt for the current spec S3 intercooler as they are bigger than the one fitted std to mine.
As i said above :
A hybrid turbo, panel filter, egr delete, bigger intercooler and cat free exhaust
That should see you over the 200 mark with the right map
Exhaust wise, miltek are popular. But you will need to get a custom down pipe made as there aren't any for diesels that i would use.
ONly the miltek DPF delete pipe, but thats isn't suited to your car
