sainsburys super, any good?

hi all, unfortunately in my town i only have a choice of bp or sainsburys for petrol with bp super coming in at 109.9 and sainsburys at 102.9, basically is it any good? If i am travelling out of town i try to get tesco super.

Not really sure about Sainsburys but i always use shell 98ron  :happy2:

Sainsburys petrol is supplied from BP. Its exactly the same as the BP stuff.  :happy2:

I've also heard it's BP. Dunno if the additives / detergents are the same though. Probably!  :smiley:

I was under the impression the Sainsbury's stuff was 97 and not 99 ron.  :smiley:

sainsburys stuff is the same as bp fuel. but its only 97ron i think

Tesco 99 is usually about the same price as Sainsbury's super unleaded in my area (East London/Ilford)

....but you get 2 additional ron for your money

yes irrc shell optimax was 98 ron and when v power come in it was 99ron  :smiley:

Last time I filled a car with Tesco Super was my old 911.....

shortly after receiving said tank of said fuel.... I had to shell out £700 to have the fuel injection fixed.... as it lost all power at 3000RPM.

Coincidence or not, I'll only put V-Power in the GTI, VR6 and the Splitty now....
