Coolant System Pressure Test is the cheapest and most sensible way if you can't see any visible leaks.

Have you ever spotted any water on the drive/road where the car has been sat? Most likely just a small leak. Get the coolant pressure tested.

It finds its own level, if you are putting in more than the system needs it will keep chucking it out when it gets hot, probably the warm weather. Leave it at the level it finds for its self for a while, if you find it keeps on going down further then you might have a problem.

I would just keep an eye on it at the moment and monitor the loss - eg nothing in the expansion tank action required!
