What wrong with your current situation?
We're both architects which isn't the best job in the world at the moment. She was made redundant and I need to find a place where I can get stuck into some live projects.
Marc I hadn't thought of Cumbria - I'll look into it thanks! London is not an option, we'd like to be able to buy a house within a year or two. She's just mentioned Cornwall...
I recently moved from a place called Chilwell due to work commitments, which is bang in the middle of Nottingham and Derby (20 mins drive to both city centres). If you were to drive for say 45 minutes that would bring to sheffield, mansfield, Leicester, stoke on trent, Coventry etc. Birmingham is only an hours drive.
Awesome location for job opportunities as the major cities are only a small commute away. Plus with you being out of the city in a more suburb type area its generally a nice place to be with none of the draw backs of inner city life, whilst retaining the ability to go shopping or for work in the city etc. I look forward to moving back there.
