« on: July 29, 2013, 11:40:42 am »
Hi. I'm looking to do a ko4 conversion on my mk5 gti. I have already got APR hpfp, a maxigon g60 air intake, a full milltex tright through and I am lookin to buy a KO4 hybrid. Can anybody help me out with what else I will need and what the part numbers are please.

Thanks  :happy2

AFAIK, fuscobal made a (90%) complete picture incl. part numbers for K04 conversion.
I wasn't able to find his initial topic, but this might help.

K04 hybrid on a bwa engine would more than likely cause you problems unless you going to do your internals.

I wasn't going to do anything to the internals. What would I need to do to the internals mate. Thanks for your help with this really appreciate it.

Thanks  :happy2:

To be honest you would probably be better with just a standard k04 if you dont want to go down the rout of internals. I have the standard k04 on mine and looked into going for a l0400 but with the money you would spend on buying one and the cost of internals i dont think you would see much for your money. I am not 100 percent on what you would need for just a hybrid turbo but i would imagine it would be pistons, rods and arp bolts. Other people may have a better idea.  :happy2:
