From what i got told you need a special tool to do it as well, hence most garages wont do it and the ones that do, jack their prices up.

As alex says.... the oil is expensive and you need a special tool to fill up the box. ( i think the OEM tool is best part of a 100 quid)

A guy local to me did it all for £100  :innocent:
The tool is basically a one-way pump it's made out to be more special than it actually is.
It's about 5-6 L of oil and obviously the filter.

DSG adaption makes more of a difference.

You were recommended to replace the oil filter sealing O-ring when changing the dsg filter. The O-ring was sold as a seperate item but Alex has now clarified that the filter now come with the O-ring included.
