totally understand that you were sharing your knowledge and experience and warning that there is a potential pitfall pal , could just have been a bit more subtle

I can understand that but what makes you think this car is a import other than motorpoint sell grey cars.

On the import side from a main dealer is very unlikely pretty all is good -  From carsupermarkets you have to be careful and they are legally bound to tell you if it is once asked

where are the french jokes!!! the renault imports were cheaper to buy new and had few extra bits, they should tell you though, way out of order, didnt realise you could get posh golf from netto

motorpoints ed 30 were only £19.999 new about £2.5 k under vw prices but if you go to p/x it most dealers will offer £2.5 k under the crap book price they would offer on a uk car
                      i know the feeling us guys get when we re waiting to pick up a new car , ive had loads and would nt want to spoil it for any one , i was just making sure people are aware of what can happen in the shark world of used cars
         may be i was a little abrupt, but if it had turned out to be an inport im sure he would have thanked me long term
