FLAT BATTERY PROBLEM....STILL!!!
« on: August 23, 2013, 09:07:14 am »
Hi guys,

recently cahnged my head unit for a RCD510 along with a new pre-programmed gateway, but have been faced with a flat battery again on 2 occasions since! :surprised:

I have just changed a rear brake light bulb, since the problem only occurred after this showed up on the dash, now to see whether it happens again!!

Can a bulb cause battery drain? or is there still a problem with my updated gateway?

Any help will be much appreciated

Guy on e-bay where I bought it, but he had excellent feedback and even sent me a form to complete for details to programme onto it!

Week before last, I had it up on ramps in the tyre depot for 2 days, having the valves changed.....don't ask....none in stock, had to order from VW at great cost because caps corroded on!! but after those 2 plus days, the car started straight away, no flat!!

I think the seller could have been Eddie-NL on ebay...
Without traction power is nothing!
