question for stevep regarding this,

dropped my car off this morning for its 2nd service and asked them to have a look at the dsg issue as had a few similar issues as you were experiencing

i phoned them today to check up on the status and they said they are having to speak with VW hq to see if they will cover it due to the modifications I have had done.

yourself with similar mod's obviously did not have any issues, did they question your mods at all?

thanks

^^^ Agreed it isn't right that this part of the gearbox which isn't affected by any other mods won't always be covered under the warranty and is widely reported to be a weak link.

My main point I have was I had reported the issue before I had gone mod crazy and VW had looked at it and reduced the oil level in the gearbox as they believed it had been slightly over filled in the factory

Because this was "on file" and it had made no difference once they started getting others in then I believe that helped my case.

I know I am not the only modified car that has been able to get this done under warranty
