I have a black and decker one. It's okay but I did find it worked better if I used a brush to lift any crap up off the carpet which could then be vacuumed. I have toyed with the idea of a dyson but it's expensive, and it doesn't last long (2 mins I'm told).

Yeh I hav been checking reviews out on Amazon and none of the cordless vacs have good write ups... The dyson one doesn't last long at all despite the price. Will stick to using the normal Hoover in the driveway method... Cheers for replies

Dyson - it will easily last long enough to do the car and more. Excellent performance. Pricey for sure but you will actually use it in the house for all sorts of things too.

never found these much good myself, i thought about a dyson recently but when i looked at the price
id buy a myself a henry hoover and a good extension lead if this is viable for you, and save yourself loads of ££ rather buy a cordless dyson. i dare bet the henry hoover will out live any dyson too

The secret to the dyson is a full 24hrs charge before you use it everythime,at least thats what i do and it has enough oomph to do my car,but then again it depends on how dirty your carpets are, mine never get left long enough to take too long lol

Bought the top of the range Dyson hand-held unit (purple one) and it's very good but I still use my Henry for 99% of my car cleaning! Half the price of the Dyson too...
