A clear advantage for me, difference is night and day.
On my A3 with Nankang SV2's at the front and regular ContiSport 3's at the rear, it exposes the capabilities of a decent winter tyre on very normal suburban and country roads. I wouldn't necessarily recommend just two Winters up front, but it works for me and emphasised how handy they are over regular weather tyres
Last winter which as we all know was pretty cold, I was following Defenders and Discoveries' up national speed limit/regular descent hills, especially when there were handfuls of cars beached or dumped either side.
