You can tuck tyre easy without needing a skit plate on a mk5 , you just need the right sizw wheels for the car !

17s are way to small
18s are perfect
19s can be done if you know how to stance :)

My old mk5 on 19s

Golf mk5 1.4 Fsi , Bettle 2.0 8v , Audi a3 2.0tdi , Lupo Gti , Jetta mk5 2.0 tdi , Golf mk6 1.4tsi , Jetta mk6 2.0tdi dsg . Golf estate sport wagon and now ! and orange GTI
Dubbin it since 2006

Nice car!

What bulbs are you running for the fulls? Brand? Opinion? Life span?
And the fogs, are they film?

I fancy doing mine.

Cheers, yh I agree it does need to go lower and it will soon. Yh I like the induction kit a lot, does make a fair amount of induction noise and you can here it dump, but I like the sounds so all good for me :)

The bulbs in the high beam are just some yellow bulbs I got from euro car parts, I've had them in a few weeks now and they seem good. The full beam is now yellow tho but I don't really mind jus looks cool when you catch it just right, the full beam looks all yellow  :happy2:

Yar - different, wheels look smart on the car.

I'm not into slammed cars, although I agree that a slightly bigger drop on the rear would definitely help. If you can afford to go lower at the front too (if the component/practicality allows) then that would be a bonus and really push to 'pull' the wheels and stance off.

Still think this is the first time I've seen those wheels on a MK5 around the forums and meets, pretty cool.

Come up with a bit of a problem, wheels are too small and I can't get low enough :( so I've found some landrover monodials for sale and am considering them, now would anyone be interested in these wheels? And also have four brand new 194/45r17 aswell
