Indy sourced brakes or Euro car parts best on price?
« on: October 11, 2013, 04:34:44 pm »
Just wondering roughly how much an average independent garage would charge for a set of standard OEM front discs and pads. I could get some discounted ones from Euro car parts at the moment, but I don't want to bother if the independents price is going to be much the same. Pretty clueless about the brakes because after 59k this is the first time I've had to replace them and that's only because they are badly rusted. Any help much appreciated.

Euro car parts brake stuff is very  touch and go  :surprised:
Their Pagid stuff to me looks fake and their pads are rubbish
Do get me wrong I use their stuff every day but would not fit it to my cars
Stick with vag parts, tps should be cheaper than dealer.
Its what you need to be fitting to your GTI
Having said that if you drive like a big girl  :pomppomp:
Euro brake stuff will do the very best  :happy2:
Has to be Grey

^^^ That sounds like a good price. I'm sure my local Indy uses TPS anyway, so that's good to know.
Think I'm tempted to go with the OEM parts then. To be honest, the length of time the first set have lasted then I won't need to replace them again for the rest of my ownership with the car.
Thanks for all the input guys  :happy2:
