Pretty sure that is the last small update now as the car is off again this weekend, feel like I never see her she is in the bodyshops that much lately.

How meaty does that look Al?!    :happy2: Front profile is spot on

Good to meet you today Al  :happy2:

Fully deserved the award. It got a lot of attention, justified too  :happy2:
Bet you're chuffed fella?

When we ran into that dead end in the corner just after arrival, I wondered how we'd get out without red faces

Hi guys,  :pomppomp: :drinking: :pomppomp: :jumpmove: :star: :pomppomp:

Finally sat down for the evening (with a nice domino's)
Bit of an update on the car.
Took it back to Like on Saturday last week due to the plank at local garage cutting through my airline pipe.
Whilst it was with him thought it would be daft to not get some more work done on it, so although I do like the false floor that he fits, I fancied something a little more showy but subtle at the same time:

And as I have alcantara around the dials and switches he fitted last time, that some more would do the trick and be something a bit different too:

(pics courtesy of Luke/plush facebook page as not got any of my own yet!)

To really compliment all this had Russz do a detail on it (review on the detailing threads)
Amazing job for someone who taught himself and does it in his spare time, and a really nice polite and generous guy to chat to.

And as a result of all the recent work:

Really shocked, could not believe it, as when I was watching the judges go around it they were stopping at all the parts that I knew were in need of a little TLC.
Though there was only first and second place awards in the MK5 class, so not sure if only 2 people entered. :stupid:

Really nice to meet you all and chat endlessly about motors, and whatever else took our attention
Still lots more planned though. :happy2:

Congrats Al, and thanks for the kind words :)

Heart sank when they asked me to open the engine bay, spent 2 hours yesterday morning before my best mates wedding (much to Tash's annoyance) cleaning the interior, but just didn't have time for the bay.
Sure the judges would have picked a lot more faults if I hadn't had your expertise to guide me through, and that quick detailer you gave me is great (again, according to Tash, I was too busy mingling to clean!)

Yeah we should have done the engine bay quickly whilst I was there, we know for next time though :)

Congrats, AL - Looks like a nice award and not some piece of tat. Love the see-through round panel in the boot and it being lit  :notworthy:

I'd have been surprised if only two MK5's entered S&S Al? There were plenty about as ever. I thought mine was the only one MK5 that hadn't entered TBH

It was super to see the boot install in particular in the flesh  :happy2:

Glad you liked it mate, was really nice to talk to you, didn't see you leave, be cool to catch up at some more shows.

Thanks too Rich. Went hunting over the car parks for yours, couldn't find it though, looked for you after our chat to carry on the gossiping.
Hope you enjoyed the show, was a nice turnout, (would have liked more trade stands)

Oh, and I now need a front numberplate as I think mine fell off on the drive home, so a new plate, and 5 even stronger magnets to come!

I saw you parked up in the gravel car park Matsu, nicely distinctive car  :happy2:
Just caught you driving off mid afternoon too.

Did look good  :happy2: I've changed my mind on the wheels for the better
Cheers fella. Was super meeting you and Natasha. I'll be about Sunday (Inters) so see you then  :happy2:

Did you notice how there wasn't one MK6 there? (not modded that I recall anyway...) Thought they would already be smattering the scene in honesty.
