New APR K04 Stage 2+ file
« on: October 21, 2013, 09:16:12 pm »
I hear they is a new file being trialled at Awesome for stage 2+ modded cars.

This is good news for me as hopefully Keith can sort me a deal with a new RSC fuel pump, VWR intake etc etc.

Hassan @ Awesome GTI mentions some nice new additions to this file such as the raised limiter and a new delivery which will sounds very interesting. No release date has been announced as the file is being evaluated but things sound promising.

Really?? I spoke to Hassan on friday and he states this file has not been released for sale and is a Beta file being evaluated on his car as we speak. Think I will ring APR and speak to Keith for confirmation.

Have you a dyno plot or graph for 3.31 file or figures?

Sounds like it from the threads on the US forums.

YOu need some TIV action on yours.  If Nicks pulling 400hp with WMI with a Stage 2+ K04, imagine what he'll do with yours!!

Exactly what I was told.

The delivery is much smoother with no boost . torque spike at the beginning of the delivery but much smoother and linear across the range pulling harder further up the rev range. Be interested in seeing this in the future as I'm running a custom GTI Engineering map which is also very smooth and powerful for stage 1.

That run was only for the dyno.

I still reckon you would be better off figures wise than with GIAC though.

Sounds suspiciously like what I was suggesting

Sounds like your coming out as an R-Tech Fanboy Sy

Nicks Tiv is seriously impressive, removing the jerkiness in traffic queues is very effective.

Pretty sure he has it TM'd to stop other tuners from stealing it  :scared:

Nah not a fan boy by any stretch of the imagination, just impressed with what he is pumping out at the moment and would be keen to see him work with something larger than a K04.

I think he has trademrked the term TIV and not the process of mapping the ECU
