Gti = ko3

Edition 30 = ko4

Unless your car was modified before you bought it. In this case your dv will be located at the front of the engine bay if you have ko4.

Thanks. I have a GTI however it gave exactly 230bhp on the rollers when I bought it, so wondered whether the turbo had been replaced and was running quicker than stock. I had it remapped about a year ago or so and it put it to 250 on the dot (same rollers). I have had the DV changed as it split but didn't do it myself so not sure where it was located.

.
If it's a GTI it will have K03 - Unless changed by a previous owner.

If it's an Edition 30 it will have K04.

If still in doubt, check the plate on the turbo itself....

The K04 turbo wouldn't run well with the K03's ECU map so I doubt the turbo would have been swapped for a larger one. The car may have had an ECU remap on the stock turbo, or the car has some other hardware modifications, or the dyno was a bit optimistic.

Do you have a graph from the dyno run?

First one is 'stock'

Second is with the remap (think it was the Shark one, just standard stage 1 map)

if you had a remap on a K04 you would be making a massive amount more power than 250hp.  It would be more like 280-300Hp!!

Id be fairly certain yoyu are on a K03 turbo anf the powerstation dyno is generaous by maybe 10-15Hp.  Id bet on a dyno dynamics roller youy would have ran maybe 210hp MAX stock and 235-240hp stage 1.

That roller is also measuring about 35% transmission loss.  81Hp transmission loss is nothing short of comical at this level of tune!!  Realistically it should be around 17-20% max which would be around 40-50Hp transmission loss
