There are many factors making your system sound "pants"

Firstly, are you still running an RCD300/500 radio? If so replace that with an RCD310/510 or after market radio first.
Then report back.

Otherwise installing Focal A163.2 (or something like that) or better yet Hertz HSK 163.4 are a great upgrade. You have to sound deaden the doors properly and ideally install at least a 50-80wrms amplifier for the speakers. It a completely different sound then.

A few years ago, I actually fed approx 80-120wrms into my factory speakers and the RCD310 was then fed to a JBL MS-8 into the amplifier back into the speakers.
This system sounded really good. Had it running like that for the better part of 10 months till I sold the car.

Hello,

Depends on that sound you are after focal are very good for dance music as the mid bass is punchy and the tweeters are a tad sharp.....:)
Herts are also a good speaker.

These focals fit streight in with no problems.

or the better ones......

Allways remember to mount them on MDF rings as the plastic ones are pretty crap IMO........Oh and use a good bit of sound deadening too, on the inner and outer door skins and the door panel
I would also recomend a Sub speaker of some discription, as small speaker can not play sub bass and of course always amp them with a good amp........keep away from your halfords rubbish.

Those first focal ones wouldnt fit in mine. It was only the mid that wouldnt fit, it hit onto the door metal
