WOW , this is really shaping up to be something quite spectacular  :happy2:
(and its getting serious lol)

Ben has set a time in 2008 we may all struggle to beat!  :happy2:

43   11/10/2008   13.4743s   107.36mph
CC941 - Ben Ryan - VW Golf GTI

Ha, nice find John, that run was against Mat..

I registered for the Castrol challenge end of last year for the OCT night run. Not my best time i've done, but not to far off (traction was sh*te that day as me and Luca found out)..
Gives you a pic too..

and Luca..

As already mentioned, this seems to be getting some nice attention...

Anyone said to the other forums that we are keeping our seats etc in the cars?

If we are having a "Hothatch deathmatch" over the 1/4 then I highly doubt everyone else will keep their full kit in the car!

Are we keeping it casual or are we going to have a record of all the runs?

Should everyone register with Santa Pod for the Street challenge 2009? If you do you automatically get your best time posted on the Santa pod website along with a ranking.

Not a bad idea mate, but I think you'll struggle to get everyone on the same playing field in regards to spec and interior stripping.
I for one will be in road trim and may take them out later in the day if I can be arsed..
Will leave it a few weeks till we get confirmed names and then start to try and sort some sort of table etc and will ask the guys to register on the CC challenge..
Such a lot more to think about now we are going for a bit of competition :happy2:

EDIT:- Just registered myself for the 2009 Street Challenge :happy2:

I think I'll be putting my CC number up inside the rear window myself (6 A4 sheets with one big letter on each :happy2:) as the pens they use plays havoc with the plastic if it runs down onto the rear light clusters
Golf R gone.

....

Now that people have started to register interest, which 'team' are those who are on several of the forums in competition going to be loyal to?

For example, Nathan, if you are driving for this forum you shouldn't be listing yourself on the R32OC forum.

I didn't put my name down Robin, Ben must have?

^^^^

I hope my tone wasn't 'spikey', Nathan - I just used your name as an example of the issue of which 'team' someone is on who is registered on more than one 'side'.
