Has Anyone fitted 10j to a mk5

Hi, I'm in mid process of buying some new wheels for next years show season and I've found a set a bit cheaper but they have 10j rears, has anyone fitted this width before? I'm aware that I may have to do a bit of arch work. Pictures would be much appreciated.

I tried a pair of Audi R8 rears on the back of mine - they were 11". Fitted on the car, but tyres stuck out a mile and looked crap, even stretched tyres on the wouldn't have fitted correctly.

However loads of people fit 9.5" on the back - probably down to the offsets etc

Yeah I've seen 9.5 sitting nice without any arch work. They've got loads of stretch and a 40 offset. Worst case Scenario is I'll have to buy two new lips

Doubt you will tuck 10's on the rear. And you can't buy new arches for the back as it's all part of the chassis.
Would need to do some major arch work to get them to fit unfortunately

10j et35 with max camber will clear the struts (which is your biggest problem) but you will destroy your arches.

19x10 IND's, not sure what offset they are though. Look like standard arches too.

Rolled and pulled I'd say..
As I said, when you go higher your wheels poke out more.. would be scrubbage central on the front
You can't have perfect stance when aired and when driving. If you want it to look great when driving it will look less good when aired.
And vice versa.

I'd forgive "perfect" stance when aired for driveability cheers.

I agree, my rears need 10mm or so more poke when aired out but look spot on when driving and I dont want't it poking anymore.

10's on the front of that red MK5 look stupid, reading the thread he had to grind his struts a bit for them to fit.

So basically you could probably get them to look alright aired out with minor arch work but would look silly at drive height :)

The 10 j would only be on the rear, they're 9 fronts with an et 44 so will fit fine. I think 9.5 is the maxim on the rears and that's pushing it.
