Using a steam cleaner on Ed30 seats.

Is it safe to use one or not very clever if you have heated front seats in the Ed30?

Need to find a good product to use, any recommend products anyone used before?

My limited experience of steam cleaners is they don't eject a huge amount of water like a pressure washer, so as long as your careful I would think you'd be ok.

I've used the Karcher steam cleaner in the car and all has been ok, but worth noting I don't have heated seats, lol.

Sidenote: Anyone used the Karcher window cleaner, feck me that thing rocks!

It will be fine I have done mine with no issuesat all and mine are leather as well

Ed 30 seats aren't leather  only on the bolsters are leatherette .

I'd use upholstery cleaner and then Hoover. I would used a steam cleaner unless there is something really stubborn that won't shift.

As Rich says.
Use a steam cleaner as a last resort.
You could otherwise (and as always) use the most gentle method of cleaning possible.
Start with a microfibre towel, move up to a soft bristled detailing brush, then a slightly harder/tougher brush, and if not then use a steam cleaner.

Well just tried my living room carpet with this new karcher steamer, and it's made them look brand new!!   This steamer surprisingly doesn't amid loads of water, and it's virtually touch dry straight away,  so gonna give all floor Matt's and seat centers a go over and see if results are the same

Ive used the steamer on my mk 2 and it was feckin brilliant that was with 25years of dirt and grime though, the cleaner jacked it prior to me finishing up so you could really see the difference. I used i microfibre to cover the steamer end this way the steam jets were never really directly jetting the fabric plus the micro fiber lifted the grime

I used it today, and in fact was very impressed, I done the wife's car aswell. My Red stitching now looks brand new lol and my floor matts look new again  


I used a Karcher SC1.020 1500 watt unit.

It's also useful in the engine bay aswell

All you need is water, no chemicals , so it's perfectly safe.

Very tempted to invest in one!! Looks like they have lots of uses indoors too.

Did you use the hand tool in the car with a microfibre cloth on it?

Just the brush tool, microfibres on the tool when doing glass
