You shouldn't get any canbus issues proving they are the correct fitment 35w (could do 55w if you want but not strictly legal). If they do fail, resistors will be required.

If you got standard headlights think about H7R hids as they are specifically designed for reflector housing. Look for canbus kits but in practice they are partially meaningless

I've looked into these H7R kits, and it's strange, because when I filter by Make, Model, and Year, there are no H7R kits appearing for my golf, just H7's, but here is a H7R kit on the same website I found by simply searching...?

H7 will fit thr golfs so will H7R. Literally the only different with H7Rs is that they are specifically designed for reflector hounsing on the lights (ie: not projector lenses). You can still put in H7 HIDs.

Essentially yes! H7s just need to be positioned down rather than just stick them in and running round as you put them in, but yeh H7R are designed to stop dazzle!!

And ofcourse slightly more expensive :p

H7rs are just normal H7 bulbs with some black paint on the bulb.
They still give a POOR beam pattern (they would fail an MOT)
Regardless or not they are very distracting especially when driving on bumping roads or when a vehicle is coming down hill towards you.

I am asking you as an adult to buy some quality HALOGEN bulbs. Otherwise you are basically saying "Hey, I'm ignoring advice, and don't care about other people!"

Edit: Nevermind, see you've already bought them.
Please fit them, drive between two brick walls and provide a photo.

Will do! And i don't want to come off as some ignorant nob, thats why i was trying to source the correct ones for my car before buying, and get multiple opinions.

Will take a photo like you suggested, if they have sh*t nasty glare I'll send them back or sell them on and try and find some "quality" halogen bulbs, but i doubt i'll find any that compare to the nice looking and revealing light of the HID's?
