Boost gauge

Good evening all

Not trying to 'spam' here at all, just want a simple answer that all before my head is bite off haha!

Ive searched threw a few threads on newsouth boost gauge fitting, however none that are explained/pictured very clearly for a 'amateur modder' like my self. I'm all for learning how to maintain and also mod my ed30 but of course you need to be shown things to learn. I have thread many breads in installing mods and some of you may have seen in the newbies section hat I've brought quite a few nods now that with the info on this forum I am more than 100% confident in fitting these my self.

All I'm after is where the t piece is fitted too, what connectors etc go where?

If some one has a 'baby's guide' on installing a newsouth I'd appreciate your time post here greatly 
Or if you know of a very simple well pictured and explained guide

I used the APR tap and that way you don't need to cut any existing pipes to fit the t-piece.  This just slots on and already has a ready made outlet that you connect your pipe to from the back of the boost gauge.

Use the thick hose they sent you, the one with the tap in it. Looks like this and attaches via the bottom of the breather hose of the PCV. looks like this......



Much as the APR one I use the Forge one which allows more than 1 tap due to my zorst powervalve hose. Also fits straight on. Pic with just one hose attached to it via the bottom tap...........

I tried to find a good image of where the t piece goes, could only find those breather hose connections.

Anyone want to fit my boost gauge for cash this week  

Bolt on mods, fine no problem what so ever could read something once and go crack it out but this is a recipe for disaster.

I've got 2 bags of assorted tubing clips connectors cableties bolts and a roles up length of additional tubing  . Thought it would be a piece of cake but leaning towards getting someone to fit it

It's easy! I managed it so you will be able to. Hardest part is getting the tube into the cabin. Long screwdriver and duct tape

I thought, I'd connect the t piece, cable tie a hose to it, run the same hose into the cab then into the back of the boost gauge. Connect the red wire In to the grey illumination wire in the light loom then tie hhey black wire down behind a metal bolt, insert gauge into column pod, secure column job done.

Sorry to sound 'stupid' never fitted a gauge in my life

Sound like a plan. It might not be the "fitting a boost gauge plan" but it passes the time 

Post a picture up of what bits you got with the pod. I'll tell you what I did. Mine worked fine but I'm not saying I'm the all knowing boost gauge guru.

Here's all of the consumables that come with awesomegti's newsouth/column bundle 
Hope you can rule out what is needed and what is not

^^^^ Brass bit attaches to the rear of the gauge. One of the 2 short silicone hoses attaches to that. Inside that fits the long/thin/main hose. Cable ties are to keep those bits together. Don't attract anything up until the long hose has been fed from the engine bay or the cabin though. The other short silicone hose attaches to the other end. I'd use the breather hose section, it has the tap in it to attach the silicone hose to.

Oh and the cocktail sticks are for little sausages and cheese/pineapple  IIRC.
