Broken passenger headrest?
« on: December 02, 2013, 02:28:01 pm »
The headrest on my mk5 GTI passenger seat appears to be bust.  The button has popped out and I although I can slot it back in again it now longer works like a button (button bit is jammed) and looking inside the aperture with the button removed, I don't see how it makes the headrest go up and down.  I would ideally like to remove it and find a replacement passenger headrest that does move.

Any ideas?  I have wiggled around with a screwdriver inside and can see a little "floating" bit of plastic I can move up, and it floats back down again.  I don't see how I can free up the headrest to get it out again. :(

Thanks.  Dummy here for sure.

Although that's not a mk5 it looks similar.  I just can't even get to the point of removing the headrest at all.  There's no lever on top of the seat part which controls the height on the mk5.  All controlled by this button it seems?
