Just replied to a thread you commented on a couple of years ago in the mk5 General section about painting brake hubs. I have done the same process as you and want to know if you baked the paint in the oven?

What's the mistress worth as she stands now, R-Tech Stage 2+ etc etc. 88k miles, will be BBS VZ's not the Turinis, FSH and all that. MOT 1 month ago....sailed through, no advisories (heaven forfend).

She will come with all the original parts ie ed30 rear bumper, ed30 TBE, ed30 steering wheel, pipes, intercooler, front and rear brakes, engine bits, front and rear lights, interior bits and whatever else I have laying around.

Things against the price, Cambelt/Waterpump reqired in 3 or 4 months (3 years 8 months since last one) Stone chips to front end and 1 car park ding, that's it.

Can't decide whether to split, return to standard or sell as is? If this is my only worry in life then I can't complain!

If you did split would you not have to have to map taken to stage 1?

Assuming the stage 2+ map will only work with existing exhaust and intake etc?

Yes, if I returned her to standard then I'd ask Niki to flash this back to stock.

Seems a lot of hassle to split but Im guessing you'll make more by doing so.

I think you'd get what you wanted as it is without splitting, anyone that reads the build thread will realise the level of detail and effort gone into the car with zero compromise on quality

Thank you. I still don't know what I'm getting so that will determine if I return my lady to stock.......on the bright side, ive ruled out the Mk7 (I think, maybe). 

(I still find myself lookiing at a Hyprid turbo or BT and 4WD convertion for this car, no need to sell up then  )

Do the 4WD convertion! Then if you're still not happy go for the TTE420.

Your Ed. 30 is too good to be sold...

Only MAJOR hesitation on 4WD is the cost.

Can imagine I won't see any change from £10k to finish her properly once I add in (potentially) a bigger BBK, Coils, side engine mounts, rear bushes, another map, a bigger cooler, RFD, 3 1/2" decat downpipe and that's on top of a Hyprid turbo, WMI , all other supporting mods and whatever the 4WD convertion would cost......ohh and a respray......ohh and probably another bigger, harder uprated clutch to handle it all.

 

Or........

Put that £10k into another car.
