@Shoduchi

Only MAJOR hesitation on 4WD is the cost.

Can imagine I won't see any change from £10k to finish her properly once I add in (potentially) a bigger BBK, Coils, side engine mounts, rear bushes, another map, a bigger cooler, RFD, 3 1/2" decat downpipe and that's on top of a Hyprid turbo, WMI , all other supporting mods and whatever the 4WD convertion would cost......ohh and a respray.

Or........

Put that £10k into another car.  :drinking:
RFD is a relatively cheap mod. You just need a bigger BBK if you're going to track the car. I don't think coils are mandatory. Good springs and good dampers are enough. You don't need WMI with a TTE420 to achieve 420 BHP. I think your 3'' BCS downpipe with sports cat can handle the TTE420.

I'd do the 4WD, then the TTE420, the TTRS LPFP, the 155 bar FPRV, RFD, the side engine mounts, the rear bushes and another map. If the IC was compromising the performance then you could sell your THS and upgrade to a Peron. :happy2:

All true enough but to get the best out of the Hyprid then swapping out the THS for a Peron, adding a slightly larger diameter downpipe (decated) and also AC removal will all aid the magic flow.

WMI is something Id need to look into futher.

My NQSBBK is at its limit with the power i currently have (even with the addition of the S3rear brakes), i wouldn't be happy running bigger numbers without bigger anchors.

It's not an easy decision, I know.  :sad1:

Just not sure if you really need to have all those upgrades done to make the TTE420 achieve the announced 420 BHP.

I know they would be beneficial, just not sure if they're mandatory.

I guess this car was all about passion and not costs. So, than, the same reasoning is behind the 4WD conversion also.
This car will be uniquie and that would be a very good reason to go for it.
I think it will be a pitty if you sell it  :fighting:

My private number plate has been removed and the BBS VZ's are going back on.

Ive had a few offers for her and 1 decent offer (not counting Rich's offer with accompanying flowers) so if she doesn't sell within the next few weeks I'll put a For Sale thread up to sell as is before I concider splitting her.

Sorry to read this Martin - very interested to wonder about what will replace this car?!!
So as you've said, not a MK7 R - will it be an Audi RS3?

Part of me hope it doesn't get split as it's such a good car but the vulture in me wants a lot of parts ;)
What's next?
My mums revo stage 1 rs3 isn't that much quicker than my stage 2 ed30. Real world performance difference isn't that big(other than that thing called traction lol) , the launch control on rs3 is wicked though, it looks lovely and sounds awesome!

Still not decided on the next project. its going to be a Mk6 R (as I know the platform so well) or the RS3.

If it's the Mk6 I'll have spare money to spend on mods so will get all new upgrades. For instance.....no point taking the THS IC off if im going to put a Peron on, only things I'd be swapping over are the HPFP and CAI so no biggy buying new ones.

RS3 would be awesome but a new learning curve and a load more money. Stage 2 power with a decat Powervlave would be immense though.

I'd geniunly love the Mistress to be be sold as she sits to a fellow forumite who will continue to cherish her and maybe build on her.

Sorry to hear your selling Martin  :sad1:

I drove Jays 6R ( from MK6 rides section) and was really impressed. Feels very different from my old Ed30.  You won't be disappointed. . .  :happy2:

Time for something new @GrayMK5GTI. Will never be leaving the forum though, too many good peeps on here.

Been in a few Mk6 R's and always been impressed. I'll not see any more power at 2+ than I have now but the driving experience is way different and DSG 4WD launch control is great fun.

RS3 is another level and that soundtrack is worth the extra money alone.

This type of car requires the right type of buyer who will pay the price it's worth - it's presentation and detailed build makes it worth to me. I see its value at the very top end of the poll.

It would be a shame to break it back to standard Martin -  if I was asked about a car worth buying yours would top of the list in that price range  :happy2:
