Hi Guys. My name is Yazz and I bought an 05 reg mk5 gti dsg about a month ago. It has already gone thru some significant changes. The car was bought bog standard, it already has coilovers, stage2+ Rtech map and DSG map, autotech pump, autotech induction kit, Miltek turbo back non res full system with decat, fmic. Michelin PSS front tyres and in progress is a brake upgrade. The car is down on power at the moment and has brought up a few error codes which im hoping you will all hlep me solve :)  It still made 252hp and 298lb/ft and I'm looking at going K03 hybrid in the near future but first to solve the issues!!

Hi Yazz,

Regarding the error codes. What codes have been logged?

P2293 fuel pressure regulation, I looked it up on rosstech and i need to check fuel pressure but fault is intermittent. car loses drive but engine etc. still running. Throttle pedal becomes redundant.

Could be HPFP on the side of the engine - any signs of it leaking. What is the service history like, has the Cam follower been replaced recently?

A quick on search on P2293

My first move would be clear all the DTCs, rescan, then start with the simple things like fuel filter - full tank of fuel then move on to the more expensive items as others have suggested.

Yep, this was done before Rtech mapped it and this is the code that has now appeared. I'm hearing that early fuel pressure sensors were faulty? So im going to replace this and see what happens!

Thanks for the warm welcome and Merry Xmas!!

car is all fixed!! It was a faulty N276 sensor on top of HPFP. Swapped out for my original. All running smooth and pulling hard now!

I need to get it on a local dyno to get a new BHP figure which will happen in due course. RTech's map is amazing! The throttle response is like N/A engine. there is a nice linear power delivery throughout the rev range, just the way a map should be!!
