Project oem+ now with vid
« on: January 13, 2014, 09:42:19 pm »
Right then I purchased this 55 plate just over a week ago to replace my 1967 baja as I wanted to get something easier to live with.

The plan is to get it sitting right new wheels ect.
ATM it's in the body shop for paint to get in immaculate.

Was the paint bad? Or just not up to your standard?

Those wheels look as OEM as sunglasses on a Badger.

I think you will find they are a aftermarket optional extra for Audis a few years ago but not many were sold as new from Audi they were £2500  :surprised:

Right did a few things this weekend.
I replaced all the boot trim where the previous owners dog took a liking to.
I also de wiperd the rear and got the shine back to the tail pipes that looked liked they had never been cleaned.
Also made the most of the body shops ramp and freeded up all the suspension bolts for when I get it home to change the coilovers.

Finally some decent progress.
The project was on hold due to lack of coilovers but finally the konigsports have arrived and are on with new wheels to see if the arches need work.
And it sits perfect now we removed the helper springs.
Now the body work can continue.
Just got to pick final colour finish still staying tornado red but need to decide what candy lacquer to go for
