GTX2867R or GTX3067R?
« on: January 15, 2014, 09:48:15 am »
Anyone know which would be better for the 2.0TFSI on a CDL?

My trawling about the forums and internet give varying answers.

As far as I can tell from the compressor maps, there isn't much in it?

Also the GTX has a twin scroll option, so would this be the better option?

I've already had a look at those turbos and my tuner says that the mapping would be different for them compared to the GTX turbos. Anyone know anyone who has one of these fitted yet. I'd heard that the top end of the rev range is harder to map, but don't know for sure?

30!! make some proper power to completly different turbos i was going to go 28 but decided against it! how come your thinking 28? are you worried about lag? you should be debating between gtx3071r or 76r  :happy2:

Do GIAC support both those turbos?

I've discussed with a few tuners and the general concensus is to go with the GTX3067R. GIAC will support both turbos.

The GTX30 will be a little laggier, but I can live with it. I still don't know if the GTX30 is going to need support mods. The GTX28 will be a fit and forget.

First question is what power do you want? Then from there you work out what size turbo, and what size exhaust housing you need.

You don't really need to worry about lag as you laugh in the boost range and always change gear back into the boost range.
