Interior Light (Main Roof)
« on: January 18, 2014, 02:52:20 pm »
I've look around and can't really get a good answer.
When you pull keys out of the ignition, unlock the car, open a door etc you get the interior lights illuminating.

Well my car, only the foot well lights come on. Both roof light units don't. But you can still manually turn them on.

Leaving them on manually, when you lock the car it does switch off.

Would it be the door open mode switch bridging itself?

Also, how do you take it apart? I can get the front clear panel off ok, plus the 2 screws inside

Mine does this. On mine it's the switch on the interior light panel that plays up. I can get it to work for a few days by operating the switch a few times but then it stops working again. Unfortunately the switch is part of the pcb on the light so need a whole new assembly.

From what I can remember (it's been a while since I removed mine), once you have the cover off and the screws out I think you just lever the panel out.  I think you have to remove the panel that's around the switches as there are screw under there or are they the screws you've removed?

No only the screws in the front, under the clear plastic light cover.

So the actual switch panel there's a further 2 more screws after gently taking the cover off?
