R-Tech in the wet
« on: February 01, 2014, 11:55:45 am »
Made it into R-Tech yesterday afternoon for Nick to work his magic.

Bumped into a few other forum members who were having their GTI + Cupra mapped. Good to meet you guys.

Despite walking away with burnt and dry eyes from their ridiculously powerful heater, it was a great success. Really pleased with the outcome. Made 257bhp and 326ft lb from my EvoMS, BWA and a Stage 1.

The day before, I had new arms on the front, new DV (Rev G), new PCV and another valve which I can't remember.

The car is completely transformed. I had to take it really easy as it was raining heavily but oh my word. It now pulls harder than an Evo I had dynod a couple of years ago! My mate and I took the car out for the test run and came back giggling like children!

Nick also gave the car a thorough checking over and found a small problem which I'm having sorted out. Those guys really know their stuff, Nick spent a good 90 minutes making sure the map was spot on. I can't recommend them highly enough - way better than the upload-map-and-go tuners (wont name any names).

Top day!

Well chuffed. It pulls like a train through every gear. Got to be careful now as I got the wheels spinning in 5th in the wet
