New Car Battery Advice

I always go to Halfords for battery bit more ££ when buying but have lots of stores and if there is issues they always change it over without any problems. Had one from euroscrapparts and wow the headache of swapping it over was just crazy.

That's a really good price! About £28 cheaper than the Bosch S5 008 I bought - looks very similar & has an identical spec !!!
same factory ???

Possibly, some of the comments earlier in the thread suggest the specs are similar  and I know another Eddy owner who bought a Varta and hasn't had any issues

Why not fit the TPS battery they've got this one ?

Had mine checked this morning and have been referred to see a auto electrician as sometimes the wire which sends the charge gets corroded.   So this may be the cause of my issues

If your current battery is over 3 years old the first thing I'd do is replace it.  If it's less and under warranty take it back.

Standard car batteries are really only good for about 3 years. Depends on how they are used, if left for a long time in discharged state they will go bad quickly.

The cost of getting someone to look at the electrics will probably cost more than a new battery.

Another vote for Tayna. High spec Varta battery cheap price and delivered very quickly within an hour delivery window. Replacing the original battery after 8 years and 156000 miles so sticking with what came from the factory.

Just swapped batteries earlier. Checked the old battery again and it holds a full charge and knocking out a healthy 12.56 volts but was starting to lose its cranking power. New battery in and starts first time at turn of the key. Result.

Yes that is the exact one I have just fitted; it is cheaper on Amazon (but also sold by ECP)
