MK5 GTi racecar
« on: February 15, 2014, 08:32:29 pm »
This is my Mk5 racecar. For the VLN endurance championship at the Nürburgring. I'm English but working over in Germany at the moment.
Bought as a ready to go race car, with only a few minor jobs to get it to meet the (slightly tighter) German DMSB regulations.
 :driver:

Only had chance to use it once on a test day last year, with it developing a fuel problem on the first lap, think it was the P1095 code, so I've changed the low pressure sensor on the HP pump, I'll delete the code then try again, got a in tank pump as second option.  :happy2:
Looking for a complete standard air intake set up replace the cone system you can see in the pictures (regulations again) so message me if you have one, I'll do a wanted post as well.

Chris

Thanks

Yeah custom kit, making replacement from the inevitable smash a bit difficult. But I'll find something.

I stripped the graphics off to start again, not sure which direction I'll go yet, but full respray first.

Looks great mate  :happy2:

Has the track been widened at all? Or wide wheels/low offsets? Sits well.

Very nice!  :notworthy:
Could you please post some pictures with the back and rear spoiler?
Do you have a rear diffusor?
Where did you get the rear wing from?

Great with a proper track car build, we have seen a couple in here before but i never get tired of getting inspired by ptoper track weapons
